In a recent tweet, Google has identified some of their search ranking systems and they are letting us know which systems they are using and which systems are retired.
Also, they have made the differentiation between ranking systems and ranking updates.
This blog that Google shared on its Twitter account is a good read for all the people who are involved with Google whether it is Search Engine Optimization, Google Ads, Youtube, Product Listing, Local SEO, and more.
Also, it was really interesting seeing PageRank being mentioned again by Google, people who are doing SEO since 2013 will have a very nostalgic feeling about it.
Note: Retired does not mean they do not matter, it means they have been merged into a bigger system).
